Mr. Wester is an inactive certified public accountant, graduating from John Carroll University in 1976.

Dr. Stanley Ballou is the Director of Rheumatology at Metrohealth Medical Center, Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and Director of the MetroHealth Lupus Clinic, the only such clinic in Cleveland, serving over 250 patients with SLE. He serves as an advisor to the chapter on medical issues, local and regional research activities, and access to professional care.

She is driven to surpass all the challenges and demands this chapter meets in its efforts to fulfill its mission. Her perseverance in helping lupus patients will not falter until a cause or cure is found.

Diana Fleming is a faculty member at Kent State University College of Nursing and teaches the SLE lecture content. She also works part-time at Akron General Medical Center.See More
Mrs. Fleming has seen the effects of lupus throughout her family. Her maternal grandmother and mother both suffered the effects of lupus. Currently, her sister is battling lupus. Her goal is to increase the public's and health care professionals' awareness and understanding of the impact of lupus.

Ms. Roscoe was the Office Manger of Eaton Corporation, Law Department for sixteen years until her disease forced her to go on disability. Currently living in an assisted living facility, Ms. Roscoe stays active with the lupus community.

John S. Peters

Mr. Peters is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Handl-it Inc., a company that provides various services to industry, including warehousing & logistics, product sourcing, manufacturing, packaging and temporary labor services. He founded the company in 1992.See More
Mr. Peters was the Senior Vice President Operations for Waxman Industries from 1988 until September 1997 and served the Company in other executive capacities since October 1974. Mr. Peters is currently a member of Waxman's Board of Directors, to which he was appointed in March 2000. He is also currently a Managing Member for multiple real estate partnerships that develop and operate approximately 2.5 million square feet of commercial real estate properties. Mr. Peters has been serving the Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Cleveland Chapter as a Board Member since September 2001. He has been serving as Chairman of this Board since September 2002.
